
High-performance environments are complex organisms. Players and backroom staff of varying backgrounds, expertise and personality types strive towards one shared mission. Hopefully, culminating in players performing when it matters most. Unless the right environment is created, efforts can fall short repeatedly, and often unexplainably.
The key ingredients of building a cohesive, high-performance environment are fundamentally human. They lie within us, awaiting to come to life.
Belonging: People feeling valued and apart of the journey.
Psychological safety: Where people feel free to contribute and offer their worth.
Motivation: Energy and willingness to work and fight for teammates.
Since 2019, I been fortunate to put this work into practice with teams like the Ireland rugby team, Leinster rugby team, the Dublin's 5 and 6-in-a-row winning team, Shelbourne F.C, as well as a host of championship winning clubs.

Yes. Ideally, I would run at least one session with the full backroom team. This helps to 1) build a tight knit group, and 2) empower variety of practitioners to foster connection within their daily roles.
Yes, I do. These spaces serve as a safe, confidential container for players to process and shed any excess weight from personal / sports lives, so that they perform to their potential on the field.
