You can't pay people into being motivated. Bonuses and perks nudge behaviour for a while, but the effect fades fast and the cost keeps climbing. Real, durable motivation comes from somewhere money can't reach: feeling genuinely connected to the people you work with, believing in what you're collectively building, and knowing that your particular contribution actually matters to the people around you.
Ronan facilitates team motivation sessions in Dublin and across Ireland that work with that deeper layer. Rather than trying to motivate people from the outside in, the sessions surface what already drives each person — what they care about, what they're really working for — and weave those individual motivations into a shared sense of purpose the whole team can pull toward. When a team understands what it's fighting for and why, motivation stops being something leaders have to manufacture and starts being something the group generates for itself.
The work is grounded in the research on intrinsic motivation and refined across years working with corporate leadership teams and elite sports squads, including the Dublin footballers during their historic 5-in-a-row. Sessions run two to three hours, delivered in person or online, and suit leadership teams, project teams and full departments — particularly those coming off a difficult period or heading into a demanding one.
